One of the programmed offered by Kolej Shahputra through Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) is the Diploma in Office Management and Technology. It is a program that focuses on the office administration of any organization, wih emphasis on office procedures, office management, event management, office competencies, communication, personality development and second as well as third languages. Students enrolling in the program would have a great learning experience since they will be trained and guided in a friendly environment.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Passed SPM/SPM (v) with 5 credit inclusive of

Bahasa Melayu
English
Any other 3 subject

Obtained pass Mathematics or Additional Mathematics

A certificate holder in Office Management (OM009) with a minimum HPNG of 2.70

JOB PROSPECTS

Student graduating from the programme would have promising career in any organizations with excellent opportunities for advancement. Well-prepared graduates will have a choice of positions such as Executive Officer, Personal Assistant and Executive Secretary

A Bit About Office Management (OM114)

Almost all organizations need effective office and administrative support to operate efficiently. This is where the graduates of Office Management and Technology (OM114) will come in handy as they will help supervisors and managers coordinate common office duties. They will ensure works are carried out efficiently, information is well managed and equipment and machinery used in the departments are in functioning manner.

Office management course will help students in obtaining a few important skills such as:
•Being a good organizer, detailed, and efficient
•Able to project initiatives
•Dealing well with people.
OM114 course mainly focuses on the basic office administration tasks such as office automation, document processing, office management and communication skills. This course trains the students to support managers in the organization by being a reliable liaisons between administrative staff, technical and managerial staff.

After obtaining Diplomas in Office Management and Technology, students are able to apply to further studies to other courses offered in UiTM or other universities. Courses applicable include Bachelor in Office Systems Management, Bachelor of Customers Service Management, Bachelor of Health Administration and Bachelor of Event Management, all under the Faculty of Office Management and Technology.

However, other Faculties such as Faculty of Business Administration offer many Bachelor’s Degree as options for OM114 students. Besides that, OM114 Diploma students can choose to further their studies in the Faculty of Mass Comunication and Faculty of Information Studies.

Hi and good day to those reading. Just posting some pictures showing the activities our students have organized. One of it was Family Day at De Rhu Beach Resort. To those who joined the outing, admit it! You had fun, right?

Some of part 6 students also attended the family day, although some of them just arrived for dinner. Thanks for coming guys. Hope your industrial training went well!

Games during the dinner sure was chaos. Thought the food should be more to fill up our growling stomachs. To make it short, let's give an applause to Part 1 students who successfully organized this event. They did make a good effort! Sign of a good leader in the future? We sure hope so..

Tanggal 20 November 2009, Diploma Pengurusan dan Teknologi Pejabat (UiTM - Shahputra) dengan banggenye telah membuat blognye sendiri setelah disuruh oleh bos.. heheheh...klau bos tak suruh memang haram la nak wat kannn...bukan pasai lecturer2 neh bute IT atau teknologi...tapi malas okehhh...

Nak wat blog bukan la mende senang...nak customize itu..nak customize ini...da carik punye carik punye carik template yang menarik, tup tup tak leh nak donlod la plak... huh...memang bengang...nahhh..senang cite...gune jek dulu template yang simple neh.. nanti ari len upgrade kasi hotttttttt....ahakss...
